I really appreciate a kid who says, "I have to throw up" and then waits the nano-second until I grap a bucket! Versus, the kid who throws up all over everywhere and then announces, "I don't feel good". We had a crazy morning getting ready for church (the Dad was working). After a million tantrums from the middle child (and me too) and time-outs we finally got into the car and drove the 30 minutes to church. About 5 minutes from church my middle child is crying and saying he is tired and that his stomach hurts. As we pull into the parking space he now says, "I have to throw up!". I quickly grab a Taco Time cup from the garbage bag and well, you can imagine the rest. There was nothing to do but pull out of the parking space and head home. This caused the oldest child great stress! He loves church more than anything. An offer of McDonalds quited him down. So...once home I put on my pj's, read the paper and put on a movie for Mr. sick. He took a good long nap and felt better. Since it was such a nice day today the boys came outside to work in the yard with me. Mr. baby managed to go where NONE of his brothers have ever gone. This was his first experience outside in the backyard exploring. He took his "job" seriously. I looked up to find him ALL the way under the deck! YUCK (we call it the racoon motel!). He was sitting in the dirt with just enough head room. When I tried to reach him and pull him out he leaned away from me! Stinker! Finally, I dragged him out and blocked the area off. Let's just say I am REALLY tired and sooo glad that Dad is now home!
PS: Is the picture such a hoot! You need all your "guy" tools to watch a movie!

Mom's Day Out.....Yahoooooo!
I hired a sitter, I ordered a pizza. I had Mom's day out. I went to "Sew Day" with my wonderful friends. It was a fantastic day of sewing and visiting and of course eating yummy food:) It was so nice to get out of the house for some girl time. I worked on my quilt for our future baby girl! Her room will be yellow, blue and white. I'm thinking of stenciling daisies or bumblebees or......suggestions are welcome.

Is it Summer yet?
Grandma and Grandpa GREAT!
We spent Sunday with the hubbie's wonderful grandparents. Our kids are so lucky to have great-grandparents. They are such a joy to visit. Grandma Great who is in her 80's served dinner for 18 guests! Grandpa Great makes sure the golf cart is charged and ready for the kids to have rides. We hope to have the same special relationship with our grandkids and great-grandkids!

Yard Day
Today we all went out and did some major yard work. Papa mowed and edged. Then he cut down a bunch of trees in our cedar hedge that were damaged over the winter from repeated wind and snow. The boys played in the yard and helped a bit too. Mostly they are our "can you get me..." helpers. I can't wait until they are old enough to really help...like pull huge amounts of weeds:) I spent my time raking out the gardens lining the driveway. I also cut out last years ferns and swept the driveway. I can't believe how many pineneedles there were! We have a really shaded and HIGHLY landscaped yard. It is so beautiful but it's a ton of maintenance. Today was just the first of many spring days to come.
PS: The hideous yard in the background of my picture is NOT our yard. It's the neighbor's who mow about once every other year!

The Virtual Me!
Okay so here I am in virtual form! LOL!!! You can go to Landsend.com and create a virtual model of yourself and try on clothes. It's really fun. You enter your height, weight (no I didn't lie), skin color, face shape, hair, etc. Obviously they don't ask about stretch marks or cellulite:) I just spent an hour ordering new shorts, t-shirts, sandals, and swimsuits for the whole family. Whew, I'm exhauted. Even cyber-shopping wears me out. I will be receiveing a HUGE package soon and then we can all try everthing on to make sure it fits. Only my oldest and I will enjoy that task! I do love Lands End.

Pictures, Pictures, Pictures!
Pictures. That's what is on my mind today. I haven't put ANY photos into picuture albums since July! Yikes...it is really weighing on me. I know there are people who never put photos into albums but I'm not one of them. I have always put the photos in as soon as they came home from the developers. I have all of our albums labeled with the year and put into an "A-Z" order to make it easy to find exactly what I need. I even have all of my hubbies and my own childhood photos in archival boxes labeled with the dates. Part of the problem and delay in getting the pictures into albums is the switch to digital. I have downloaded all my photos onto my computer and backed them up on disks but haven't sent them on to be printed yet. I want to first finish my scrapbook of my trip to Ethiopia. I finished one for my Mom back in Oct. but haven't even started mine yet. I'm carving out some time today to do this. Once I get started I will get on a roll. I keep telling myself that once I have the scrapbook done, then I'll get all the photos printed and into albums. Another "picture" topic on my mind today is quite excitng. Our travel agent contacted me yesterday and asked permission to include a picture of my trip to Ethiopia for their brochure. The picture is of myself, sweet baby and my Mom who we joked was the "nana-sherpa" because of the amount of luggage she carried while I carried my sweet baby boy. Well it's about nap time for the babe and I'll get started on my scrapbook!
