Laugh

Laugh more. That was my New Year's Resolution. I think it's especially important to laugh when I'm feeling pinched, pushed and pulled by my schedule.

This weekend is Busy Guy's b-day, Tuba's prom, TKD, gymnastics, church (two services since it's finally the beginning our our Lent), and Irish dinner with friends. Whew!

My head was already reeling with all the planning and organizing but it about flew to the moon when I tried Tuba's pants on him. Yike!! The dress pants he got for Christmas are too small. WAY too short. So on top of the crazy busy day I now have to go shopping for dress pants.

I'm going to laugh. It beats anything else.

THIS makes me laugh. It will make you laugh too. I mean how many people can laugh about eating poop?!

Laugh It Up

Since my New Year's Resolution is to laugh more I've been looking for things that do just that. This pic of George cracks me up. Not sure what he was doing....but funny boy!

Another funny. I was driving Mr. P and his buddy home from basketball practice. As we drove down one of the main streets we drove passed a Lovers store. Ya know...the kind that sells sexy lingerie and all sorts of things for...you know...lovers.

Mr. P: Look, that place called Lovers is a restaurant.

Me: Ummmmmm.....okay....

Mr. P's friend: No, it's not a restaurant........big pause where I was dying.....It's a dress shop.

Me: Whewwwwwww!

Laugh 'til ya cry?

I love to laugh. Hysterical laughing...my favorite. You know the kind of laughing where you can't tell if you are laughing or crying. The kind where you can't stop. Belly aching rolling laughter. Love it. It's so good for you too.

The other night Cam and I were lying in our bed with Mr. P and Tuba. The other kids were asleep and we were just snuggling before sending the last two to bed. Out of the blue Mr. P says, "So Mom you were really sick when you had me". I said back to him, "Well I did throw up a bunch but it's different than being sick like the flu. Having a baby hurts. The muscles in the mama do what is called contractions to help squeeze the baby down and out". He thinks for a minute and says back to me, "So it's like trying to get a really dry poop out". Cam and I burst out laughing. Then Mr. P joined in too...and then Tuba. The more I laughed the more I couldn't stop. I had tears rolling down my face and into my ears. I laughed and laughed. It was so fun. Kids are great!
